First and foremost, I love the idea of Colored border top loaders; I think it can make your cards “pop”. I am also a huge fan of Gemloader. I’ve purchased 3 binders + recently purchased tons of top loaders (I also live in the USA which says a lot because shipping kills every time). At first, I was super ecstatic about putting my cards into the colored border top loaders; however, now that they’ve arrived, the quality is a bit lower than expected. I do want to preface that it could possibly just be my order and top loaders, but it seems that the top loaders have a VERY snug fit. It is very difficult to put cards in and take them out (especially if the goal is to keep them safe) compared to other top loaders that I’ve used in the past. So, all in all: I like the idea, but I wish this wasn’t the case for my top loaders.

After some thoughtful consideration, I have decided that it is 100 percent necessary to augment my original review submitted above for one reason: I did not convey what I had wished to convey. The biggest issue stated was in regard to the “VERY snug fit;” however, my original writing falsely alluded to the idea that there was an issue with the quality. There is no issue! The quality is perfect! Having never used Gemloaders toploaders before (especially at the time) the snug fit was a new experience compared to what I had been used to. For some reason, this made me feel as if something was wrong, but there wasn’t/isn’t anything wrong. I love the toploaders and it fits perfectly with the toploaders binder! To solve the issue that I was having, pull tab sleeves are the size solution! I apologize if my original review deterred the notion behind the effort and intention Gemloader puts into their products.

Regarding the fit: Our toploaders are designed to have a snug fit on purpose. With many other brands, cards can move up and down inside the toploader. With ours, that movement is significantly reduced.
If you use them in combination with a toploader binder and you take your binder to events, trade fairs, or conventions, it is actually a big advantage that your cards do not shift inside the toploader while you are on the move. That is why we chose this design, and we stand behind it. We do understand that it can feel different if you are used to looser fitting toploaders.
If you feel there is a quality issue with the batch you received, we would really appreciate it if you could send us photos or a video so we can properly assess it. If something is not up to standard, we will of course assist you immediately. And if the product is simply not the right fit for you, we are also happy to help with a return option.
