I bucked up & payed the 75 doller shipping then FedEx hit me with another 40 doller import tax. Shipping & import was as mutch as the produxt

First of all, thank you for choosing to place an order with us. We fully understand how frustrating it is to receive an additional customs charge after already paying a substantial amount for international shipping.
The overseas shipping price was calculated based on the dimensions and weight of your parcel. Because your order included several large acrylic products, the carrier used the volumetric weight of the complete package to determine the shipping rate.
The additional amount charged by FedEx relates to import tariffs introduced under current U.S. government policy in late August 2025. FedEx collects these charges on behalf of the U.S. authorities, and Gemloader does not receive any part of this amount. These tariffs were introduced to make imported products more expensive and encourage customers to purchase from domestic businesses.
When the U.S. administration announced these changes, we updated the first section of our Shipping Policy to warn American customers that additional import charges may apply. The applicable Incoterms are also displayed with the shipping costs and method during checkout.
We sincerely hope that the quality of our products and brand will be assessed separately from a governmental tariff policy over which we have no influence, although we completely understand your frustration.
